COTM is pretty much a joke. Just look at the cars that got picked in the last 6 months. I think it doesn't matter how many votes you get, the owner of this site picks the COTM. And he happens to like stock M3's. There was one that really stuck out to me. A white E90 with a terrible looking diffuser thing and otherwise stock and it got COTM

When that car got picked it showed me that COTM is bullshit.

Don't worry about it man. Your car should have been COTM hands down. Actually, looking at the other ones that are up there, you're better off NOT being COTM these days.

Haha thanks, but I really am not phased, just thought this thread would bring out a few laughs

Regardless of what car actually got it, to my knowledge, your car was the best and most significant private build to be completed recently. My favorite by far.
Thanks bud, still think this is pretty funny!!

Tim yours should have been COTM to!! I voted for you to and also went for yellow BBKs after seeing yours
This is why I posted this thread, just to see what comments came back. How is it going with your parts sale?
Still think you should do a SC and enjoy the car another year

I also believe this is true. Bob MG's car got way more views and praises than the current CotM.

There should be a VOTE thread that is updated monthly and we all users should see the accumulated votes every month.

1. car 1
2. car 2
3. car 3

VOTES listed and we can see them..

Good idea?

The 6/10 COTM is pretty weak. Washed out, poorly composed photos of a stock M3? Really?

This site is weird sometimes. I'm not sure what the rules are, but I voted for you just now- AGAIN- three more times.

Maybe that's the deal. The previous COTM winners had their mothers vote for them all day long.

Moderators- You guys are so quick to move threads, delete posts, close threads- What's up with this? How about a little transparency or are the rules posted somewhere?

1) You can only vote once and the system will basicly only record one vote per person.

2) You can vote for any car you like, past or present. But I have my own criteria that basicly a car can only be COTM once. But I think like you said, if a car has an extreme makeover and becomes some all together different then maybee it can be COTM twice, I don't know really, depends on how the voting goes I guess.

Let me know if anyone has any other good suggestions!

Regards

Mark
Searched and found this. It still seems there is some subjectivity as the moderators have the final say...

Your car looks amazing, and I had thought the same before.

I've seen a car go on there twice before within a few months and i've seen some pretty close to stock cars.

I did a photoshoot with a lot of cosmetic mod's and a lot of compliments & didnt get up there.

Im as curious as you are.

You probably didn't win because you don't have the LCI tails ahhaha. In all honesty, you have my favorite M3 on the forum buddy.

Has to be a 6MT dude, sorry. DCT is not cool or manly enough to make COTM.

I am surprised Bob that no one has commented on the REAL reason you didn't win COTM ... it's the elephant in the room everyone wants to ignore ... it is obviously discrimination due toward your sexual preference to farm animals. There I said it ... everyone can breathe now.

haha I can't believe this thread is actually going on...

Who cares... just mod for yourself; don't get too caught up with this whole "forum reputation" thing.

Your car is indeed very nicely modded and you've dropped easily $40k into it. I applaud as well as envy you!!
