But wait, Nissan has 4-piston calipers - that means 4 times as much stopping power right? </sarcasm> Just tired of people not getting it that brake capacity is cooling area multiplied by airflow multiplied by top operating temperature - everything else is virtually irrelevant, and even bigger cooling mass only delays overheating.

Have to say race brake fluid is the minumum.

What pads are you using Gearhead? Anyone set up some brake cooling ducts yet?

Hawk HP+'s.I used them last year with no great issues except for vibration from pad transfer which i attribute to mixing with street pads a few times last year.

I'm surprised the stock brakes didn't stand up to track driving at all.

OEM BMW pads and stock fluid on my old M5 took a whooping all day and had little fade and I didn't boil the fluid on a 4000+ lb car in 7 hot lap sessions.
