Oil service
I have always changed the oil and filter on my cars religiously, every 6 months, regardless of how many km I drive or what the service schedule says.
With the M3 being CBS, I am reluctant to wait until the car dictates, and I prefer to at least do the oil change 6 monthly. Just wondering if any of you guys had similar thoughts. As a side note, on the day my car is booked in for the oil service (May 20), I'm having some bling installed....Eisenmann Sport exhaust, BMW Performance pedals, and BMW matte black front grille... ![]() |

If you're doing a lot of short runs it's a very good idea to change oil between CBS. I would change oil every 12 months or 12k km. BMW Australia is trying to convince Munich to change the CBS for Australian cars because of the harshness of the weather here.
If you plan to keep the car for long then do it.

What's a CBS? I'll get my oil changed after the track day next week. Probably also need new tyres and brake pads too!

Condition Based Service ... you can access this thru the iDrive which gives you the next schedule for the oil change, pads, etc.
How are things Andre, looking forward to the track day?
