Assistance Window

How do you get rid of the assistance window. If I switch it off I just have a third of the screen blank - how do you get back to full screen mode?

The iDrive won't do fullscreen you will always have the assistance window.
I put it in overhead Nav and keep the left one in Entertainment, no bog deal
