Can you elaborate? Looks like you have a US 2008 M3? Are you able to use the Google Maps feature on your car?

Sorry that I wasn't specific...Google maps works on my 2009 E70 X5. My 2008 E92 M3 doesn't have the Google maps feature.

Tried searching a bit...couldn't get a clear answer. Can you upload full routes ala BMW-Routes.com or is it just POI?

As far as I can tell it's POIs but there was some discussion on some thread somewhere about uploading routes via the glovebox USB interface. Yeah, I know, not real helpful. BMW-Routes only appears to work for Europe although the map is global (my German sucks).

I'm going to do a ED and will probably try to load them on a flash drive anyway. I'm not sure if they activate the BMW Assist until I get it re-delivered in the US anyway. I'm concerned about picking up the car, the flash drive not loading and then needing to enter all those German POIs one-by-one.

It would be really nice for longer trips to just send the entire route via Assist. I'm guessing there are some file size limitations.
