Traded in the Audi A4

Took the wifey's A4 for its first oil change... and

the whole damn thing got changed ...

We put 5k on the (base model) A4 and got the Q5 Premium Plus S-line package. Made out okay, only lost $ 2k when trading in the A4

Love it, unfortunately, S-line came with summer tires on the 20's

Thanks.. I love the swap so far. I went from base A4 to S-line w/ Navi on the Q5.
Unfortunately the S-line came with summer tires, so I have not been able to drive in the snow the same way as I did with the A4.

The luxuries and interior design of the car is absolutely great.
Another nice thing is that there are also not very many Q5's on the road.

I was looking at a Q5 myself, how are the deals right now? Relatively easy to haggle or are they still pretty "hot"? I'm looking to purchase.

We got the Q5 S-Line for about 3k below MSPR... just about at invoice price.
The A4 base model was originialy bought for 32k(w/o tax, title, registration), and they compromised to buy it back at $29.5k.

The dealership had 3 Q5's available, only one S-line package (Premium Plus)
They mentioned that most people have to order it, and that they were very surprised that they had 3 that came in.

I don't see many of these SUV's on the road, in fact it was the first time I ever saw it.

The next X3 will probably regain the title of the best handling small SUV but like the old one it will compromise too much of it's ride to gain this advantage.

That sad thing is I think I looked at both pictures 20 times and thought "ok so he got another a4 in a different color with HID?"

god they look so similar in the bumper
