Thanks nuespeedgti. I am holding out for a different interior color. I do appreciate you and others passing on leads.

Still looking for AW sedan with DCT, as loaded as possible. Prefer '09 but will consider low mileage '08.

Thanks Rovman.

I appreciate all the PM information from everyone on different cars. Still holding out for alpine white sedan with DCT -- the more loaded the better. Much prefer one from an individual owner as opposed to a dealer.

Let me know if you have an AW, DCT, loaded E90. I am a buyer for it.

Any explanation for why so many M3 coupes are for sale as compared to sedans? Any other good forums or sites to look for individual seller of 2009? Currently looking at cars.com, ebay, autotrader, and this forum.

At this point, I am buyer for the right car -- just need to find it.
You are the guy I need to talk to.

I keep going back and forth between what my next car will be a e60 M5, E90 M3, S5, RS4, C63, or 08 550i M-sport is in the mix too.

Care to share your opinions on the competition and why you got rid of the M5?

The reason I want to avoid the M5 is the SMG......but then Manual is not up to the task either

The E60 M5 was a fine automobile -- thoroughly enjoyed it and rank it up there with one of the best performance sedans I have experienced. If it had a weakness, it was the SMG. Most everyone gets used to/learns to compensate for the harshness of the SMG. However, comparing them side by side, the DCT in the M3 is definitely superior. Most of what I read about the new M5 says it will have the DCT.

I have driven the Audi competitors to the M's, and they are fairly impressive but, in my humble opinion, not the equals of the M's. Also have driven the Mercs, and they are big, impressive engines if that is what you are after. Still think the M cars are a more complete package.

All that said, if I can't find a nice used M3 before too long, I may eat all my words, and look back at some of the competition.

Good luck in your search!

I think If I get an E60 M5 I will probably try to find a 6 speed manual although I have heard it is not that stout I bet it is still fun, and the car will not be seeing any track time so I doubt I will overheat the transmission. Also with the software update the traction control can be turned off

We seem to have similar goals, I am still aiming for lightly used 2008 M3 Sedan, I would take the Manual or DCT though.

It would be kind of hard to pick between a low mileage E60 M5 with manual and a similarly conditioned E90 M3 with manual, because < gasp>they are actually priced pretty close together.

Like you said if I cannot find a perfect M I may opt for a 2008 550i or dare I say a 2008 Audi S5.

I would have no problem picking up a 335xi (or 535i) but the fuel pump issues concern me too much, and from my past experiences, turbos and european cars do not always mix so well, they engineer better (and easier to maintain/repair) N/A's IMO.

Still looking for AW E90 with DCT. Appreciate any links to cars for sale, or PM's on car you own and are looking to sell.

Thanks for the leads on the cars. I had looked at both of them. The Chicago car was configured as I wanted, but online posts about that dealer were not favorable. Not willing to do a long distance buy from anyone with red flags.

I have spoken with the San Antonio BMW dealer about their car several times, but the price continues to be too high. They started it at something like $67,999, and have been dropping it several thousand dollars about every thirty days. They have had the car since Thanksgiving of last year. They are down to $62,999, but that is still too high. You can buy a brand new 2011, similarly configured for couple of thousand more.

Interested in input on what people think the San Antonio, Texas car is worth? It is a loaded 2009 E90, DCT, with just under 10K miles. Biggest negatives are driver's seat looks worn, and front bumper is drilled for license plate. What is a reasonable buy on this car? How much more is it worth than the similarly configured 2008's that I see going for sub $50K?

And if I haven't said it enough before, I am most interested in a private owner car. Anyone?
