Challenge E90 LCI M3 trunk (Some E90 Love)

Challenge Engineering has been the butt of more than a few jokes here at IND, because of their slow release of the Challenge product line. When we all finally saw Challenge’s prototype trunk for the E90 LCI M3, we had to change our tune and give the owner of Challenge a little more breathing room!

The LCI trunk not only has a beautiful swept back shape that’s unique to Challenge’s product line, but also weighs an absolutely shocking 9lbs. I literally spent ten minutes holding the trunk in my hand, because I was so surprised at how light it was.

So since no one from IND or "Challenge" has responded I guess that means I am correct in assuming you guys are going to leave the non LCI folks hanging?

Challenge made the LCI mold first and then will start on the non LCI.

We have to get though the current trunks and diffusers that are in tooling. If i have enough interest in a pre-LCI trunks we can make it happen. We've been pushing real hard this month to get all the stuff out ASAP.

Ultimately, it will be up to the pre-LCI guys to speak up and let us know they want it, and be willing to put up the funds to back the demand for one. We'll post up some about it though once we get wrapped up on the other items.

wow...how disappointing considering I thought you were doing a non LCI from the start. Guess I won't be "Challenge" equipped anytime.

LOL, wel i did say as long as there is demand for it, we will make it. I'll make a thread when the time is right to get a tally of non LCI owners that want the trunk. Its not that we are anti-LCI, we love you guys too

Can't the pre LCI guys convert to LCI with this trunk? I think there is DIY on the conversion.
