Even though it looks like the CTS, at least it's a clean look that isn't trying to do anything weird.

yeah, cars should only be made to appeal to 20 somethings. Especially expensive cars that most of them can't afford.

in teh full size luxury calss, conservative is the word of the day.

this is a nice, big car that shodul be a good place to spend time inside of;

the CTS-V is the hot rod, and the upcoming ATS should be a great 3 series competitor. THIS car is designed to appeal to the 50-65 year old businessman.

Not bad, I like it - just wish it was using a V8 platform with more power.

I'll use the 5 series as an example, but it's all in the same design language. I hope I needn't pull up the 3, 5, & 7 series of the past, all similar in looks just different sizes....

Upcoming 5 series, numbnut. Of course the E60 looks different.

And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Shouldn't the E60 design be compared to the E90 since they both follow the same design theme of the generation started by the E65? We can compare the F30 series/F01 7 series/ F10 5 series when all are out as they follow the same design theme set by the CS Concept.

That's not the upcoming F10. It's a shitty photoshop based on an E92 with some E60 M5 wheels.

This is the upcoming 5er.

/\ thats the car I was aiming for. And the Bangle designs are completey different in style, nevermind the "generation". Look at the 3, 5, & 7 of the past, and look at the upcoming 3, 5, and current 7 (personally I think the new 5 looks like the current 3).

My only point is that they speak the same design language (which Bangle didnt), just like this new Caddy speaks the same language as the CTS.

I also discovered today that the S400 only has 295hp, making this cars 350 hp not seem so bad. I'm interested to see what kind of gas mileage it gets being a hybrid motor.

Honestly, this Cadillac is the CTS*1.5. Show me a single difference between them on the front and rear.

I think the 5 Series follows this but to a much lesser extent. This is just hopeless.

1) All of the lines are swoopier, look at the grill & headlight comparison pictures above.
2) The CTS also doesn't have the upper character line.
3) The C pillar is stretched on this car.
4) The exhausts are integrated here.
5) The trunk is not as angular.
6) The mirrors here are completely different.
7) CTS has bigger fender flares

That's just at a quick glance, but does that satisfy your single difference?

And I want you nay sayers saying BMW's don't have similar design language to view this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6526618

Read two posts in.
