I do not believe this...from Car & Driver...

"Based on our experience, the stock Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s should last roughly 25,000 miles for the rears and 35,000 for the fronts" from their latest 40k review test.... C&D has experts and all but but how the hell can the PS2s last 25k-35k???

I wondered that too when I read the article because I would assume they are not easy on their test cars. I think I am going to get close to 25K on my PS2s BUT I am doing mostly highway driving and in reality I am probably pretty easy on my tires.

Maybe someone didn't log in a change of tires at 12000 miles.

Well, we know how they really drive then.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Garage List
My front tires lasted 10k miles with ~50 laps logged at the Ring. The back ones are almost gone at 14k but they're still on the car. I think that's pretty impressive given how hard the car was driven. If they were driven lightly, I'm sure they can last 30k...

All four of my OEM PS2 tires needed replaced at 6700. The left front was corded to the inner cords and the left rear was at the outter cords. The right front the next worst (not corded) and the right rear was the best, but still well below the wear bars. Hmmm, now if you worked at a BMW dealer (who mounted/balanced a new set of Goodyears), what would you think about how the car was driven?
