Career opportunities in or around Miami

Hi,

I was wondering what the current job market was for professionals in the IT/Engineering/Defense/DOD industry. Although I am originally from Miami, I have not been back since 1997. Due to wanting to get closer to the family, I am considering a possible move within 6-12 months.

I am interested in positions with the following titles:

Chief Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer
IT Manager
Project Manager
Program Manager
Director of IT/Engineering
Principal Engineer

Positions that require a DOD clearance are a plus. Not sure what the going rate is in Miami for such positions but in Virginia, it is common for salaries to be within $120-$150k.

Thanks for the feedback! From my preliminary research, I suspected this. My best bet would probably be to bid on some work out there and relocate with my current company. I will check on indeed.

LOL! I'm a bit weary but the family is worth it. Besides, I'm not worried about getting murdered...I'm worried that I may have to shoot some MF.
