Car cover...
Does BMW makes a car cover for the E92 M3? I was trying to get one from the dealer but he told he that they don't carry any. If not who makes one?

You may have to order one from BMW. I'm sure you can find some aftermarket brand but personally I would just place an order for one. Shouldn't be too long of a wait.

I have one from the dealer its an E93 cover, but im sure they make one for the E92.
there are 2 kinds, indoor and outdoor! check with parts at your dealer....worth it IMO! I got it as a gift when i bought my car  |

I bought a generic E92 cover from my dealer and it fits the M3 very well.
Make sure you get the outdoor cover. It's great in keeping the pollen and random bird poop off the car.

I have a Noah/Evolution4 Tan Cover bought from Bavarian Autosport (BavAuto.com) and really like it. I have used covers for 20 years. Here's a few tips...get custom fit or you will regret it the first time the wind blows...ability to run a bungee or lock underneath the car and attach to grommets is a plus...the thicker the material the more likely it will repel hail dings...be prepared for cover dust, some times a lot, on your car after you remove the cover...wash cover regularly (on the car, just spray it off and let it dry) and shake it out often...get one with FRONT labeled on the front or you will spend a good deal of time unwinding it each time...pack it carefully - like a parachute - with the word FRONT visible so you know where to position the cover...pull it out with one hand on the word FRONT, toss is on the roof and then put it over the side mirrors first then the front and back especially if it is windy...if you park at airports, they will need to see your license plate# OR you can write it on the back of the cover...you might NOT want BMW written on it as this advertises what's underneath...keep a big plastic bag handy for the times that you remove the cover while it is wet. Hope this helps!!

The normal BMW E92 car cover works perfectly. Make sure you get the outdoor cover.

Would the E92 car covers fit the E90 also?
I found the BMW one but it seems they only offer them for the non-m models.

I would never put a car cover on my M3. Every cover I've ever seen, from the cheap to the expensive, scratches the car it goes on. Obviously a car cover helps extend the period your car is clean after a wash, but I'd personally wash my car more frequently than scratch the car every time I put on and remove the cover.

i dont even touch my car between washes.. and its not ur hands that would scratch it, its that dust between your skin and the car.. same idea with the cover.. its going to cause surface scratches to the paint, exspecially if there is dust, dirt, anything..
seems like a couple people know this... just live by the as little as u touch it the better off you'll be rule.. why someone would park a car inside a garage, and then throw a cover over it is beyond me.. so what if dust added up in time, you'll wash it.. outside winds would make the cover abbrasive too.. car covers are a false security.. i cant find a situation where its worth it, unless ur car is simply going to be more damaged than without it (i wouldnt even want my car in that situation)..
