Attaching a lip

I asked this in the cosmetic forum but didn't get much of a response...

In addition to 3M molding tape, what kind of screws/bolts are people using to attach the lip to their front bumper? Are washers advised? Bolts instead of screws?

washers are cool too if your lip has pre-made holes
