As you can see the car is very lightly modded, which is becoming somewhat rare for E46ís. Itís ready for someoneís personal touch.
All recalls are up to date on the car. Also, the sub-frame was reinforced by the previous owner.
2k miles ago I took the car to MPowered Automotive in Cary, NC for a general overhaul. While there, the following maintenance was done to the car. I have the paperwork as proof. If you have any questions about certain mechanical parts of the car that are not listed below theyíre in great shape.
4 New Tires Mounted/Balanced (Hankook Ventus Evo v12)
Mass Air Meter Cleaned
Transmission Fluid Changed
Differential Fluid Changed
Coolant System Flushed and Filled
Brake Fluid Flushed and Filled
New Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter Changed
Charcoal Cabin Filter
Both Engine Belts Replaced
Complete Fuel and Intake System Cleaned and Flushed
Front Left Wheel straightened
New O2 Sensors
Powerflex FCABs Installed
Powerflex RTABs Installed
I realize the mileage of this car is definitely on the high side. That being said, taking a look at the maintenance that has been performed, it really is in perfect mechanical shape. The car runs like new. No rough idles, shifts smoothly, and turns nice and tight on AM FCABs/RTABs.
The interior of the car is definitely a 9/10. There is very minor wear on the bucket seats up front. The back seats look like theyíve never been touched. I donít have any interior pictures because I honestly havenít had time to vacuum it out over the past couple of weeks. I will try to get this done and post pictures.
The exterior I would grade an 8/10. The car has some normal wear for a 2002 such as rock chips on the front bumper and hood. Also, the previous owner scraped the bottom of the corners on the front bumper on a low driveway. There is a little bit of curb rash on two of the wheels.
This E46 will literally need no maintenance from its new owner for a long time to come (next inspection isnít due for 30k miles) other than the usual oil changes and tires. Everyone says their car needs no work. Rarely is that the case. This one literally doesnít, the paper work proves it. I feel the value of the maintenance done justifies the asking price.
Asking $16,750 *Firm*
