No, the IDF is the military force of a sovereign state. Were the IDF to engage in the same massive systematic targeting of civilians as does HAMAS, there would be no Arabs left Gaza.

If you want to look for someone to blame for the "refugees," the place to look is Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia ... All the Arabs who rejected the UN Partition plan and attacked Israel. The fact that they lost (repeatedly) and failed to assimilate their 'brother Arabs' into their own populations as the Jews that fled the Arab states did in Israel is what caused the "refugee" problem. Interesting how the call for an independent state on the West Bank and Gaza only became an Arab cause when the Arabs in Jordan and Egypt lost those areas 1967.

They are not called terrorists because their bombs are in backpacks but because they use those bombs to target non-combatants. Putting on a uniform and detonating yourself with the aim to kill soldiers of a military force engaged in military activity against you is not terrorism.. Strapping a bomb to your child and sending him into a market crowded with civilians is.

Uh, if you think Hamas targets civilians on a "massive scale," then you should face up to the fact that there will be no Israel within 50 years, since if that were true, sheer numbers would ensure that the entire population of Israel is wiped out by Hamas & its supporters.

Who do you think has killed more civilians in the past 10 years of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians - the IDF or Hamas?

Firstly, all of those countries (especially Jordan) took in a large # of refugees. Secondly, how does the fact that refugees were displaced and not taken into neighboring countries change the fact that it was Israel that displaced them out of their homes to begin with?

Are you telling me if your neighbor on the left side walked into your home and kicked you out into the street, the whole situation would be the fault of your neighbor on the right side if he didn't take you in?

I don't think they target civilians on a massive scale, they admit to it. They laud and honor those who target civilians. They launch unguided rockets against civilian population centers. So suddenly Israel is threatened by being outnumbered? When in its history has it NOT been outnumbered.

The refugees left because they were in a war zone. Israel did not start the war, the Arabs did. Blaming Israel for people leaving their homes as a result of Israel being attacked is just crazy. Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, ... should have not only accepted these people who left their homes because of their actions, they should have assimilated them into their societies. How is it that there are still refugee camps in these nations 60 years after the war? The people in them now are not refugees but the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of refugees.

Contrast this with the Jews who were displaced by the Arab nations. Not many refugee camps in Israel full of Jews are there?
