Suggestions getting new DCT software installed?

Hi all,

Well, I had an issue with my car (idle problem) and it's fixed. I asked them to install the latest software in the car and they said no because no faults came up to warrant such service. Basically they suck. The last update I got was when the recall was issued.

Instead of trying to educate them what customer service is all about, is there a dealer in the SF Bay Area you recommend going to for this?

I went to SF BMW btw...they suck period.

Thanks

Just start calling other dealers in your area and see which on will do it. If you have to drive to have it done, then drive.

Are you having Idle valve issues or the DCT lag issue?

To get the lag update, just tell them to drive the car, slow down to 10 mph and then step on the gas.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Who was your service manager? Cedric is usually quite good. Or talk directly to Patrick Day. Patrick will go the extra mile.

I went to Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo. I told them about the lag, and they just updated my software. I did a bunch of other stuff with them (including an in-between oil change) and I am happy so far with their service.
