245/40/18 or 235/40/18 winter tires
Have square setup of stock 18" OEM wheels and looking to get a set of winter tires.
Any big difference other than price between going with 245/40/18 or 235/40/18 tires? |

235's should provide better grip in snow / ice, but won't offer quite as much grip in dry. Also slightly less sidewall protection with 235's. All things considered, I'd go with 235's.

235/40/18.
BMW uses 18x8.0 ET20 on all 4 corners with 235/40/18 95V tires for their factory optional winter wheels/tires. Here are 2 screen shots from realoem.com
