▀▄ eas | Macht Schnell - Competition Liteweight Floor Mounts for Racing Seats

Race seats can offer a an immediate improvement in driver feedback keeping you planted to the seat and concentrated on driving, while offering a significant weight savings. However, most race seat companies leave it up to the driver for a mounting solution.

Macht Schnell Floor Mounts are designed for the serious track enthusiast in mind. CAD designed and machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum, these mounts are as strong as they are light. Multiple mounting positions allow driver to dial in an exact seat position that is most comfortable and perfectly centered to the steering wheel.

Competition Liteweight Floor Mount Features:
- CAD designed and CNC machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum
- Allows fitment for Recaro and most other race seats on the market
- Fully compatible with slider brackets
- Low profile allows for sliders or taller drivers allowing helmet clearance
- Black anodized finish for additional strength and corrosion/wear resistance
- Side provisions allows brackets (sold separately) for OEM seatbelt receptacle mounting or race harnesses
- Available in Black Anodized or Raw Aluminum finish
- Can be used on Driver or Passenger's side
- Sold as a set (one seat)

Macht Schnell recommends RECARO racing seats for the highest in quality and craftsmanship.

Macht Schnell - OC3 Seat Occupancy Sensor Emulation Module

For those running race seats, the Passenger Occupancy Sensor Mat (OC3) is now an integral part of the OEM seat leather and cannot be ordered separately - triggering a “Passenger Restraint Error” message that hijacks the iDrive/OBC, rendering it useless.

Macht Schnell has come up with a solution for those running fixed-back shells and want to retain their iDrive/OBC displays with an OC3 emulator module that easily ties into your BMWs wiring with no cutting or splicing needed and can be removed at any time. For those running race harnesses, the Macht Schnell OC3 module will properly emulate seatbelts in the fixed position - eliminating any errors caused to allow you to focus on on the track and win.

The Macht Schnell OC3 Seat Occupancy Sensor Emulation Module is possible of the following features:

- The ability to run racing seats with no system errors, allowing full integration
- Elimination of “Passenger Restraint Error” messages on both iDrive and OBC cluster displays while in use
- Proper emulation of passenger OC3 Seat Occupancy Sensor
- Optional emulation of seatbelt receptacles (fastened position for both driver & passenger) for those running race harnesses
- Allows the use of BMW Performance Seats, which are not compatible with US models
- Completely removable at any time

Note: The Macht Schnell OC3 Seat Occupancy Sensor Emulation Module will disable the passenger dash airbag to prevent unsafe deployment. For this reason, this module is not intended for street vehicles and can result in possible injury or death if proper restraint conditions are not followed. Not compatible with euro models

Yes, in order to offer additional helmet clearance, even for those using slider assemblies.

So if I plan to do BMW Performance seats, then I need your seat sensor to avoid errors, correct? Yet if I use your seat sensor, then my passenger airbag is now inoperable?? If so, why and can this be corrected in future releases?? Kind of a deal killer for me if I have to sacrifice passenger safety to have cools seats.

It's possible, but not as easy as it would be with reclining seats.

A deal killer would be the passenger airbag firing off with no restraint, which is probably more dangerous than no airbag at all. Upon installation, the OC3 will illuminate the "passenger airbag off" light on the overhead panel for verification. The OC3's primary intention was for race use.

FWIW: BMW does offer a similiar deactivation retrofit kit (airbag only) for those wanting to turn off passenger airbag deployment, but this has no affect on the occupancy sensor.
