Good luck/enjoy for those guys doing Euro Delivery.
Yeah mate, no can do ED for Oz - also, transport costs would be prohibitive to BrisVegas.

Does anyone have advice on what I should consider??

-Tips at Welt?

-Hotels/hostels?
-Ideas for driving around Munich?

What am I missing?
The one thing I would do differently (I picked up my M3 in Munich but not through ED) would be to bring/buy some wax just to protect the front of the car (hood/bumper/mirrors) from the bugs. The front of my M3 was an insect mass grave at the end of the Munich to Paris drive...if you drive your car right into the garage under BMW Welt, you can probably apply/buff wax right there in a couple of minutes.

Totally unreal. Prague was amazing! Then, drove to Strasburg! Great stuff!

If you do ED and drive around the EU, then the wax thing for the front of the car is a good idea. Mine was a mess after the week.

Here's a cool shot....not the fastest, but at least we got the shot.

I put on a makeshift clear bra for the 3 weeks I was there. Wasn't pretty up close but worked great. Drove 2975 miles... definitely worth the 3-4 hours it took me to put it on at night in my hotel garage in Munich.

Train from Airport??

Has anyone who done an ED taken the train from the airport to BMW Welt? Everything I've read says the drive takes 30-45 min. I was wondering if it would be faster to ride the train? I'm picking up my MR E92 on Oct 22.

When you receive the ED Packet from BMW you will have a map of the subway. S1 or S8 train from Airport and transfer to U3 will get you to BMW Welt.. Look at Munich U Bahn,.... get off at olympiazentrum, you will see BMW Welt

Stickers run about 10e and the vests are 14e each.

It's easy to take the train. We just did that two weeks ago. Took the train from downtown Munich.

In any event, as written by wmo168. In fact, you don't need the welcome package. When you buy your train ticket just ask the person at the booth for a map and find Olympiazentrum relative to where you are and make the necessary transfers. You exit right next to BMW Welt...

Enjoy the trip!
