NY dealer recommendations for "close to invoice" pricing?

Hi All,

New to the board- had an e46 M3 several years back and looks like I'm taking the plunge again! Curious if all this talk about a few hundred over invoice has been true of dealers in New York as well or the greater Tri-State area...Any info on dealers with good pricing in the NY Metro area would be appreciated- it would save me the time of knocking on the wrong doors...

On another note, wait time is about 5-6 weeks after ordering, correct? My current lease ends towards the end of November so I'm trying to times things perfectly- if possible of course.

Thanks for the info

Not sure we can get close to invoice considering where we are. I bought mine from Habberstad (Huntington, NY) at 1950 above invoice (2K below sticker). I went there since my cousin had leased his 328xi there with good review from him and I notice a lot of BMW's even in Manhattan usually tend to have a Habberstad tag on it with Rallye coming in 2nd. When i went there to put my order down, it was like being at Walmart on Black Friday, packed with people. You wouldn't think there's a recession going on.

By the way, it seems like you should avoid BMW of Manhattan like the plague when it comes to service.

I've never seen such negative and awful reviews about a dealership before.

I heard that one of the reasons why BMW of Manhattan sux is that its actually owned by BMWNA, so they don't really want to lose money on deals and don't really feel incentive wise to do so.
