I agree that $250,000 in NorCal or SoCal is not "rich." That was one of the plans that REALLY pisses me off. You can't just pick an arbitrary number and say you're "rich" if you're over that number and don't take into consideration for cost of living. $250,000 is middle class in NYC.
There was an MSN article on a couple who made $400,000 in NYC and lived in a 900 sq-ft one bedroom and lived paycheck to paycheck. Some of it was due to living in the Upper East side, but they barely went out to eat- once a quarter I think.

He never took it down, he first took it up people complained, so he cut it back down. Now measure 33 allows him to raise almost anything including tax for 2 years with out the voters voting on it. After two years if he needs/wants to keep tax and car registration at what it is now he must have it voted in, then we will see how setup the voting system is, I can't see anyone rich or poor voting in higher fees and taxes, so if it passes we all know how setup the system is haha

the reality is, this is ca democrats *ucking with people that are successful. We pay registration on the price of the car. Even though our $100k car uses the same roads and services, we pay 10x as much. Since CA is all about environment they should change the law to base registration cost on CO2 emissions. The more emissions the more you pay. That will motivate people to get cleaner cars. But revenue will drop for the state.

Let me guess, the only poor person you know is the illegal immigrant who cleans your house.

By the way, don't dare forget to pay on time! I just paid a $120 late penalty on my motorcycle registration. That's more than the registration fee!!!

I paid close to $800 for my first renewal on my M3 almost 12 years ago! This was on a $45K car and in 1998 dollars. Considering M3s cost 50% more today, @ $800 you guys got it easy.
