Ok..
  • Its too small so its difficult to get into a rhythm (the zone!), and you're constantly catching up to slower cars and waiting to pass.
  • Because its so tight, you never get to really open the car up towards top speed
  • There is basically no run off anywhere, except for turn 1, so if you hit oil or make a mistake, its going to be a really expensive one
  • There are no garages, just a dirt/grass lot so its messy
  • I hear they repaved it, but when I went last time, the track was very bumpy. I'd be surprised if that was all gone.
  • Its located in the middle of nowhere and you have to either stay at a POS bed and breakfast or a super expensive (and still mediocre) hotel.

There is probably more, but that should be enough. Sorry if I'm a bit blunt, but I've been several times to all of the NE tracks, including Canadian ones (Mosport, Calabogie, Mt Tremblant) and out of all of them, Limerock is almost the worst. The absolute worst.. NHIS. That track is an abortion!

If you want to go to a real racetrack, go to Watkins Glen, or Calabogie. Tremblant is a close Third - really pretty there, and a nice town.

Valid points.

The track has been repaved, and according to the guys that drove it before, it seems slower because you dont' have the bumps that used to be all over the track. to me it's very smooth and easily driveable.

The way i look at it is that being a small track it's easy to improve your skills because you'll have the chance to revisit one turn 20 times in a session vs the glen where it takes a whole day just to learn the track.

If you always trail people and waiting to pass, then you'll either should be bumped up to a higher group, or just come in to pitlane and wait for an opening. i had the same problem in novice and intermediate groups. In advanced, most of the drivers drive cars that are somewhat in the same performance category with few exceptions.

Dont get me wrong, i don't think it's the best track out there, but i think every track has it's shortcomings on different areas.

And with a newborn i take being able to spend a day at the track as a gift, even if it's just an empty parking lot with some cones in it.

Anyway, the day went great, great cars. nissan gtr, ferrari 430 spider, couple of gt3's one gt3 rs. No other e9x M3 though. So far i only had two trackdays out of 26 where there was another e9x m3.

Hopefully someone will attend on sept 14&15th at NJMP.

Cheers
