I can't find my product key, threw away the box, wrote it down some where and don't remember where I put the scrip of paper.

If anyone has a spare key, I would greatly appreciate a PM. If not...it's not a biggie, but I would appreciate it.

TY for offer, darkphantom. I found the scrip of paper I wrote the key on in a box with my instruction manuals and hardware stuff. It won't let me activate for some reason, saying I can't until tomorrow. Hopefully, this won't be a problem. Damn Microsoft sometimes...

...that said, I'm not going to invest a lot of time installing stuff and copying files over until I get it activated (tomorrow).

I used to think so as well (I installed it when it first came out and it was very buggy, drivers weren't loading, etc), but how with the new SP's it's probably more reliable than XP (far less CTRL+ALT+DEL: Task Manager: End Process with Vista now than I had with XP). It even loads faster (example Plants Vs. Zombies (Steam app) loads lickity split* now, whereas on XP it would take just under 8 sec).

It's running all the same hardware as I was on XP: XP however was only registering 2.5 GB RAM and so was Vista until SP2 was installed. Overall, I'm happy with Vista atm, I hated, hated, hated it 2 years ago. Having a good GPU (or two) is a definite plus with Vista. Oddly enough, they've decided that all the graphic stuff on the OS should be powered by your GPUs for better looking screens. I suppose this makes sense; except if you're not into games you probably have a crappy GPU. This can however, be disabled by turning Aero off.

*under 1 sec.

I'm with Mega Man. Vista was terrible for at least the first 6 months it was out. Very buggy, crashed all the time, driver support was terrible.
Once they released SP1 it was much better. A lot more stable, apps ran better, most hardware had drivers.
Now I don't like going back to XP cause it seems so old school. I have to use it at work a lot though.
And now I've been trying Windows 7 and I like it even more. Basically an improved Vista.

I don't like going back to XP now because it's slow.
