those wheels look way too big--maybe the next x4 (not a typo) or the 3 series GT but not the sedan.

I'm definitely not used to the lack of vents on the front of the car.. but its still a nice rendering. probably spot on too.

and yes, the front does remind me a bit of the evo x

Yes, I do. I also think that the grilles should be longer in the rendering. I am not sure why we think it must be a 4 door.

BMW rubbishes Concept photos

This is not the BMW eco concept going to the Frankfurt motor show, but a five-year-old design study, according to the company.

A spokesman for BMW this morning told Autocar that it is a model being moved from the central design facility.

BMW eco-concept for Frankfurt

The car is one of many studies made to explore different design directions and aerodynamics.

BMW is planning to reveal an environmental sports car concept at the Frankfurt show.

The EfficientDynamics Vision is designed to show how efficient a performance car can be and will feature eco innovations in the drivetrain and materials.

This suggests it could use aluminium or even fabric, as seen in the previous Gina concept car.

It is likely to feature intelligent aerodynamic systems that could one day find their way on to BMW road cars.

Expect the concept to be powered by either a hybrid powerplant, which could be a diesel, or an all-electric motor.

i was thinking that when i saw the fake brake discs, usually they only do that on internal design studies
