2008 M3 price??

So I am thinking about maybe putting the 135i up for sale... just wondering what you guys would think a 2008 M3 sedan or coupe would go for at a reasonable price with the economy these days??

I know dealers are asking 60+ however I feel for a one year old car in these times the deals are to be had...

any thoughts??

I think it depends on the car. I am currently selling my M3, but I am trying to be impartial. I would be willing to spend a few grand more if I knew I wasn't going to get a car that some goofball beat up for the year he had it. Beware of the "great deals". I would have any car that I was considering checked out by BMW first and make sure that the car wasn't abused. It's worth laying out the extra cash. Performace cars are always tricky to buy used.

+1

Definitely second the beware of 'great deals'. You will see people on these forums quote min 40's numbers for the 08s, but note any lower price cars are:

- sedans
- stripper (low optioned)
- at auction
- buybacks
- involved in an accident
- combo of all

Coming from an 135, do you want an e92? If so, thats more money then the e90. You want MCT? CF roof? More money. This changes the value of the car.

Find a car you like, make sure you get it PPI and/or get some BMW service records (be friendly with your local BMW service rep and ask).

There are only a couple of new 08 sedans left with dealers. So if you want a sedan, you may have to buy used. As a reference, my new 08 sedan was fully loaded and I paid $53k (plus ttl) in June for it.
