And to answer your future question after checking out penfed,
No- you don't have to be a military to join.
Yes- you can join as long as you're a "concerned citizen".

I know about PenFed-- outside of a couple of people here that have used PenFed, what's the best APR that you personally have experienced on this vehicle (used). Who here has actually gone all the way through penfed?

That's why I answered your question earlier.
EVERYONE is qualified for NMFA (#7 in the link you provided).

If you do not fall within our regular field of membership, you can join the National Military Family Association (NMFA) in order to become a member with Pentagon Federal Credit Union.

Low, one-time only fee
Membership is open to anyone
NMFA is the leading non-profit advocacy organization for military families
You do not have to retain NMFA membership to stay a member with Pentagon Federal Credit Union

Best I've been offered 2.99% on a 36 month (Houston Federal) and 3.99% on anything higher (Houston Federal and PenFed).

PenFed is pseudo annoying to deal with getting approved for some people. If they decline you first time, call, find out why, write a letter, and you'll probably be approved.

Thanks for the information. I can't believe not more people have purchased this vehicle used. What is everyone buying new?

kiloil - used is definitely more economical - for me... with the prices the way they are over here in Australia - I paid $15k more then what I would of on a late '08 or an '09 model (I really wanted the new iDrive system). It means that I get warranty, a new ///M, a track day and a few goodies. So for the price... I said feck it... on the flip side... this car does not hold its resale value... however, it is my dream car.... so... I don't care!
