Make sure you tell the S.A. NOT TO WASH THE CAR. Otherwise you will have a few bozos washing your car with brushes. I just saw this last week on a Cooper.

Double check your receipt on the service before you leave.....So you can make sure everything has been done.

I know it's kind of over the top, but make sure they plan to do both the engine oil and the differential. I'd ask them what the 1,200 service includes and see if they give you the correct answer rather than stating what they should/should not do. Then advise if needed.

After not having my 6MT transmission done (even after I said, at drop off to the SA, "you're going to do the transmission, right" and getting a "yessir") I don't think it's worth leaving it to chance.

Dealers see dozens of cars a day and very few of them are E90 series M3s. And they do the 1,200 only once, so there's just not a lot of exposure. Doesn't hurt to double check and make sure they plan to do/not do the right things and you'll worry less and maybe save a trip.

Oh, and a big +1 on "don't wash the car".
