Offset Help!!!

Unfortunately, I bought my first set of wheels without totally understanding offset. I just asked for wheels that would have no issues with rubbing. What I ended up with was a pretty much unacceptable offset. There is definitely no rubbing but the offset is not at all aggressive. I am planning on getting some spacers vs getting new barrels made. I just need some help with the specs.....

I have been told that the wheels are
20x9 et+25 with 255/30/20
20x10.5 et+22 with 285/30/20

The car is lowered on Eibachs

Here are some pics

what size spacers should I run or what offset should I ask for if I get new barrels? Thanks in advance!

i'd run a 10mm spacer upfront

the rear, i dont think is a 22 because 22 is aggressive, but from the looks of it i would run a 5 or 10mm.

Good sizing on the E92 M3 is 20x9 +18 and 20x10.5+22, with 255 front and 285 rear tires. The rear doesn't look like a 10.5+22, because that should really fill the rear fender more than it does.

What wheels are those? If they are not a true three piece wheel, you won't be able to get them rebaralled.

Measure the gap from the edge of the tire to the inside of the fender like this:




You'll probably need 10mm all the way around by the looks of things.

Those rear wheels are definitely not 10 1/2" ET22. Those would be VERY aggressive. 9" ET18 or ET17 is perfect. Put a 5mm spacer in front.

The rears are not 10.5 +22. I have 10 +20 and it's literally perfect for the rear.

I'd use a 10mm all around.

I have 10.5 at +25 and they are Perfect

My fronts are 9 at +22

I love my set-up

totally agree...

I don't think that you were given the right information.
Those don't look at all like 10.5 +22 (<-- this would be very flush)
Also, I am a little skeptical about the fronts too.

Might want to double check....

for spacer fitting, you can use extended bolts and slide washers in until you are satisfied with the amount of Gap. Measure the thickness of the washers you put in and that should be the spacer thickness.

you can also, just measure from the outer most edges of the fenders to the tire.

When putting on spacers, you don't want to go too far out or else you will rip up your front plastic fenders or rub in the rear

I am not a big fan of spacers so I am running this kind of offset on my car.

Front: 19*8.5 ET15
Rear: 19*10 ET25

this is good for all road conditions.
