and my s2000 I just sold, only spent about 4.5K on parts for it.

Wow, all that for 4500 is really not bad. Was these hook up prices or internet/retail?

I'm surprised, you are running it pretty conservitavrly. A friend of mines roommate is putting down about 500 daily driven...

Good components though I'm a fan of using quality parts.

Looks like you put a good amount of work into the swap...
I cant stand it when people drive around in primed body panels.
How did it hydrolock? throught the CAI? did you have that anti hydrolock thing on the CAI?

I had just swapped from the stock brakes to GSR units and had left the fenderwell off because I had to run to my friends shop to pick up some stuff. I got there are hung out for a good hour and a half and it started POURING, I mean horribly. I waited it out for nearly two hours and it just got worse so I tried to make it home. two drainage ditches had clogged and flooded the area. I tried to make it through and had a violent stall in the middle of a huge lake of water. Had AAA come and tow me out and found 4 huge holes in the block, oil pan hanging by 4 bolts, one snapped rod, one siezed piston with the rod shot through the block.



Series of unfortunate events forced me to part with everything.

Paint was last on my list. I wanted everything running good first. I planned on a VTEC B18C1 head and a pieced together turbo kit. Ah well.

With the fenderwell on there was no real way for it to suck up water, it was plenty high off the ground. My car inside would have flooded before the filter would have been completely submerged.
