Ok, you guys LOSE this one!
And I don't think Real Oem would have helped here either. This is a picture of the MOST access point. It's under the dash in the driver's foot well. It's hidden behind a small snap-in black square. The MOST ring is the fiber-optic bus communication system responsible for all audio/visual/entertainment functions. It's how the amp, radio, satellite, telephone, nav, etc. communicate with each other. The problem with a Ring Bus system is that if ONE module fails, the WHOLE RING goes down. That's why sometimes you'll hear a crackling static when you're listening to FM radio, and they'll replace the telephone module. This particular Access point is where the programming computers hook up to introduce programming data into the modules on the MOST ring. It's also used to TEST the MOST ring for defects. That's ALL it's used for, no other reason. |
