I have the AA filter and love it. It is paper so filters better. I doubt there is any tangible power loss versus these three mentioned. THe AA has twice the pleat density of the stock one and no charcoal layer. It also fits really snug. Kind of hard to snap in actually because it is held so secuely by the spring loading.

That is my suggestion.....

This is correct, the Macht Schnell filters are a bit more solid where the centering pin so the base of the filter is not distorted when pressure is placed upon it.

Also note that the MS filters are 8-layer construction, AFE is 5.

where can i get a MS filter? are there multiple sources or only one?

I got mine from EAS and it seems good.

One thing is for sure, you cannot feel a difference from a filter change, unless you have a good imagination and really want to believe. You can however hear the sound slightly change.

i think its out...i was reading on the web newly designed bmw for v8 m3 ready to ship...is this right> cause i am shopping too. i dont want fitment issues, but i want a nice sound...so now what..

Is the filter made by S&B the same filter as the Macht Schnell filter?

Get the BMC then if they in fact did re design it. I've only heard great things about them from many other different cars. They just messed up on the fitment with their initial batch..
