Hybrid M5 ?

Hey hiya all,

This week we are on a little impromptu trip up to beautiful Vancouver, BC. Upon getting to the downtown core, we got behind an M5 that had a hybrid badge on the trunk lid. What!!! Does BMW make a hybrid M5 for the canadian market? Or did this guy throw a prius badge on his M5?

Hehe I had the same idea for my friend to put on his Mustang.

I have been scouring the 'net trying to find the answer to this. So far I have determined that the badge is for sure the same badge as the hybrid Camry has.

Canadian BMW folks chime in, please.

Haha I haven't seen that car. Maybe someone else on here knows the driver?
I supposed it helps to add some symmetry in the back of the car.

BMW has no hybrid models available right now anywhere on the planet. There is talk of an X5 hybrid for MY2010.

The M5 is definitely a hybrid.

Part 5-series, part race-car. The word hybrid has become synonymous with gas-electric in the automotive world, but that's certainly not the only way to define it!
