What do you guys think about this?

Here's an interesting story to discuss-

"A self-proclaimed bisexual male teacher in New York has invited his seventh-grade students and their parents to witness his commitment ceremony to another man."

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Culture/De...aspx?id=464964

Is this OK or not? Please vote your mind.

Students should have no knowledge of their teacher’s personal lives or politics.

If the kids that were invited don't want to go, they don't have to RSVP.

If there are ANY teens (7th grade = 12-13) living in NEW YORK CITY that doesn't already fully understand that there are same-sex partnerships, they are truly living in denial. It's not like this is some shocking event in New York City social life. Get real.

It wasn't like he was forcing anything on anyone. He is a popular teacher, and the request to be invited to the ceremony came from the KIDS THEMSELVES:

“They kept asking if they were invited,” he said of his students at Columbia, a selective public school that specializes in math, science and engineering. “Originally, I said no. But when I found a venue that turned out to be big enough I said, ‘O.K., you can come.’ I invited their parents, too.”

I don't see why sexual orientation should turn anybody into a second-class citizen that needs to hide who they choose to partner with.

I believe he means that being gay is a natural thing, as it occurs in nature.

There is no gay gene.

What causes someone to be born homosexual is a chemical imbalance of hormones in the womb.

Nothing wrong with being gay, or gay marriage. But that is weird for a teacher to invite students and parents to the wedding. Hope there is an open bar so the kiddies can have a really good time.

Not if it gives a survival advantage to the extended family. There have been studies done about this, but you wouldn’t have heard about them from Fox News or the Washington Times.
