The bumper scratch is no issue really. It is not visible and - in all honesty - nomater how carefull you are, IT WILL be scratched one day! Be it in 2M, 6M or whatever, it will be scratched, and it will happen multiple times! I hope not, but I was also over cautious and I got it scratched 3-4 times by now (I got my M3 for 8M now). Its nothing.
The issue of the wheel (if I understand it correctly) I am sure you can have it fixed / repaired. This is not severe damage, it is just a cosmetic scratch so it is a no brainer for a (proper!) wheel repair shop. |

Dude, I feel for ya'.
I run my car into curbs all the time. I wish they'd make the spoilers more flexible so it wouldn't tear off so easy. I'm also glad I bought a second set of wheels so I can just replace them after I grind them down on curbs 'til they lose air. |

I'm not sure if the techniques for fixing wheels differ, but when I my wheel fixed on my pcar, they basically scrape the metal down (for lack of a better description) and then polish it to match the others. In my case, they recommended doing both on the same side so it would match better. The problem I ran into is that with my fix, the wheel no longer had the clearcoat (I'm pretty sure it's something else other than clear-once again for lack of a better word) and the polish kept getting stained and marks would form on the metal. Like I said, maybe they have a different method, but for me and $120 wheel, that's what they did.

i just got mine back from seattle wheel and couldnt be happier. they do as you say scrape the damage portion then paint but mine was reclear coated also. I cant tell where the damage was which is awesome. The only way to find it is the radial groves in the wheel from them being turned originally arent there so if you are really looking close up that can be picked out.

Finally got home, where are some shots of it from my iPhone.
Maybe it's not that bad, I dunno. It pisses me off seeing it but I'm not sure it's worth $120 or more to fix! it's the same mark/scratch in all the photos, I may not have rotate the pic the right way.

That's a tiny scratch but I feel ya because you KNOW it is there!
I bought my car late December. 3,000 miles later I have already had 2 wheel scrapes. One of them was pulling into a car wash and the daymn curb was so high I took it on an angle the rim ended up hitting the curb. That one was pretty bad. The next one was just like how you described yours. I hate the feeling of that bump and the noise it makes. I bought the wheel scrape package on top of the wheel and tire package. I believe it was like $300 additional for that package. I had no clue it was $120 a pop to fix. I'm glad I picked that package up now. The only downside to the package is, you can only bring it in during a schedule routine maintainence.

I had 2 things happen to me today as well. Driving from Dallas to Houston. Just cruising in the left lane and a rock hits my windshield and now I have a dent in the middle of my windshield. Later on I'm moving over the right lane to get to my exit and a flap comes flying off a truck and I swerve to miss it and it clips the front left bumper. My reflector pops off somewhere and the whole entire side is scratched. So, now here I am in Houston with a dent in my windshield, my bumper all scratched and no reflector.

jus joking. But ya I feel the more careful you are the more prone you are to damage ur car. Besides it is just a car and can be fixed! |

I know how you feel. I curbed a wheel driving into the garage to have one of my wheels I previously curbed fixed on my 550. I just noticed a small curb rash on my right front wheel. It happened somewhere on my 3100 mile road trip to southern Ca. Oh well, I'll get it fixed.

I hate curb check wheels and front bumper scratches those type of things piss me off. Just be glad you don't have a front lip spoiler on your M3 and your M3 is lowered like I do. You come across something in the road and can't avoid it and your front lip is toast. That's what happened to me
, you think a few hundred is bad to fix the wheel. I paid $1000 + for a front lip spoiler and now I have to replace it ![]() I wish you good luck with your repairs.

I don't remember why but I was looking under the car after I got home yesterday I noticed in the front that apparently when I scraped the front bumper pulling into that spot that day it broke part of the disfusser (is that the right term and/or spelling) under the front bumper!
![]() it's not part of the painted bumper but the bigger black plastic piece right after the front bumper ends underneath. it was sort of low lighting but it's crack/broke/ripped-off and hanging down about an inch in the center but towards the drivers side. So now I'm wondering what this is going to cost me to get fixed. or if I could get it under warrantly somehow, as I've actually found a few other little things that were wrong with the car that were from before I got it.

that wheel isn't too bad lol you'd cry if i showed you mine...but i'd still get it fixed if i were you. Wheel rash/rock cips/paint chips can not be avoided no matter how hard you try.. it sucks lol
