NE winters and tires

oh man! I got my 3D lip and diff, and TE37 but I cant upload pics. haha. We should meet up man! I feel so isolated from the car world man. Dont know any other M3 owners. haha.

I clearly have too many wheels/tires. I'm confused myself. I made a mistake by ordering the stock 19" wheels. I should have gone with the 18s, burned them up over the summer, and then retired that set for winter use with winter tires, but I didn't. I ordered the stock 19" wheels, burned up the PS2 at NHMS after a few track days, and signed up for an "intensive" HPDE during which the sessions were 45 minutes long. I knew buying another set of PS2 would be pointless as they would melt away, so I looked around for 18" track wheels with the right offset, couldn't find anything in stock, and mounted PSCs on the stock 19" wheels instead. Then winter came, and I bought the cheap winter wheels. Then, last month, when looking around for track wheels, I saw this great deal TCKline had, and got a set of used TE37s for $1800! So, that's the entire story...

So you have 3 sets - winter, 19" summer, and track! But easy with the PSCs in summer rain! Fun, but can slip easy. Or you planning to get 19" PS2s for that then? That would make more sense.

I know the PS2s will get gooey, but I want to literally destroy them and see what time I can set in the car 100% stock at NHMS. I need to find a day with the PCA group where we will only be 4-5 cars on track and we'll be able to have our own fun. White group is typically not very many cars, so it's should be OK. Then after that time, I'll be done tracking it. I'm really just curious as what I can do with it.

The PSCs are out right dangerous in rain. I'm going to running 3 sets of wheels when I move to Seattle next month:

1. OEM Style 220M 19" paired with 255/35F & 265/35R Bridgestone Blizzak LM25 for the REAL snow

2. Yokohama Advan Racing RS paired with 245/35F & 265/35R Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s for summer, which will be replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 255/35F 275/35R for winter driving in Seattle

3. Rays VOLK Racing TE37 G2 paired with 255/35F & 275/35R or 265/35F & 285/35R for summer cruising

I'm not planning to track this car will most likely use it as a weekend cruiser.

I just take it realy easy in the rain with the PSCs. No high speed driving. They will be gone in a few months. Then, I will get some cheaper street tires. I can't justify the PS2 cost for street driving. I don't push the car that hard on public roads, so it won't matter.

If you run in Group A with BMW CCA at NHMS, you should be able to put in a few flying laps without getting interrupted. With your experience, I would expect you to be around 1:20 or better? I think my best lap with the stock setup was 1:23. I run in group B.
