Meisterschaft GT

I've had a lot of PM questions about my Meisterschaft GT exhaust and how much I like it, so I figured I'd answer them all at once...

I have had the exhaust for a while now, probabaly five months, and aboslutly love it. It's loud - damn loud - but what a sound! Probably the single most complimented thing I get from the M3, and she's a beast. Plain and simple, if you want a snarling and gnarly exaust, this is it.

I'm wondering what others who have the same exhaust think? Feel free to chime in...

Had it for 11 months now and l love the sound.
Everytime i went to a track someone would come over to see what it is, since they loved the sound so much.
And you're right, its loud, but you can drive it on the conservative side if you have to...

i don't have one, but judging from the sound from all the vid, I have to say this is the best one I've heard for the m3 so far. loud but not obnoxiously loud and very meaty sound compare to those titanium system.

Don't you guys know yet. No one here posts or answers PM about pricing because they all think they got the "Special just for you price."

The ONLY question that needs to be answered is if the GT has drone and if you can daily drive this.

I believe that was only related to the titanium units.

No I dont, I am exhaust shopping and I would like to decide on something soon. I may give things some time because RPI is working on avoiding a CEL without tuning, that would be perfect..

I dont even have the car in my posession yet LOL - It should be here by the first week of April. I will have spacers, springs, and full exhaust before the car even arrives

Yes, there were few titanium units (3 units: first production version E46 M3 titanium units) had problems (7 years ago)
and customer who had such units got replacement Titanium units at free of charge immediately, since then there was no problem.
Apparently one individual discovered this old news last year, put it out all over the discussion board intentionally to plant
negative impressions on Meisterschaft quality.
Yes, there was a problem 7 years ago with ti units and we fixed the problems immediately after the fact, and that was it.
E46 M3 titanium units, we also revised the design once again 5 years ago and that pretty much perfected the design, so everyone loved it.
You can verify this with anyone who has or had Meisterschaft Ti units.
Stainless steel units are free from this discussion.
also, a lot of design aspects;
careful consideration (previous experiences) went in for current production for Ti units (for all Ti models we build),
and we never had this problem again. Hope this clarifies your concerns.

Titanium units are cool and super light but at the same time,
it is extremly brittle, which means it is made out of very stiff material - Titanium alloy,
so when significant impact is given, unlike ductile stainless steel units, it can fail - meaning it can break.
But as long as when it is installed correctly and used properly, then there should be no problem with Ti units.
Is cold weather problem with Ti units? Answer is yes and no, Ti alloy material can and will have higher chance
to fail by same strength (given impact) at extreme cold temperature compare to normal ambient temperature.
But as long as you do a proper warm up, so it heats up the Ti units to ambient temperature and above,
then you are good to go.
Make it simple: Don't over rev the car when it is cold out, at least for first 10 mins
and don't hit something or go over something like a big rock. Hope this helps.

I bought mine from GThaus direct, watched them put it on myself. Got the Rear Exhaust with the split tips and the SR connecting pipes for around the same price as posted above.

No problems at all with mine. I get compliments on the sound all the time. There isn't much drone and any drone there is, isn't bad at all.

I don't know if it's just me but it seems like most of the negative comments I see here are from those who hasn't even dealt with GThaus. Those who have the product seem to be more than happy with the products they have. I may be wrong but that has been my observation so far. Let me know if you disagree.

I know there are always 2 sides to every story and that is why I gave them a shot. It also helped that they had IMO the best sounding exhaust. They did not let me down and to this day, I get phone calls from them asking how things are going and that I could come by anytime if anything happens.

BTW, thanks steve for the information on Meisterschaft. Obviously, I did go ahead with them in the end. Glad you are enjoying the comments just as much as I have been!
