I have an AFE pro Dry S filter, not the oiled and I think for the $80-90 that you spend it's a worthwhile modification. There are added benefits even if they are small, but what other mods that you can get for that price do more? I honestly am seeing a slight MPG improvement over stock and at gas prices this year it has paid for itself.

aFe's drop-in panel filters are a great, inexpensive mod for any E9X M3.

TLEE,

How old was the stock filter that you replaced? Even AFE's sales pitch doesn't claim to improve flow over a new stock filter. It's the accumulated grime stage where they claim their edge. Just curious.

I got my oiled filter from ron @ Mod's...I really didn't feel the difference in power, thank you for the dyno graph, makes me feel faster, what I hear is the growl with everything shut off and windows up as someone else mention on here, BUT what i have notice, and I am on my second tank of gas since install, I am getting better gas miles.
