I thought that yellow color looked familiar. My yellows were RS19's, though. Noisy - really noisy!

I got quoted for $8800 for the whole set... why is this even more expensive than Brembo?

In Europe, AP costs + or - the same price as brembo.

Maybe it's more expensive in the US because of the fact that it comes from England...i don't know...

That's absurd. Are you dealing with a US-based dealer? You might try going direct to a UK dealer if you can since the the pound is so low right now. You would also save the VAT (but could get hosed on import duty.) Worth a shot.

True. Thought they'd be cheaper...

He said EUR3200 for the front kit in an earlier post (which likely includes tax.) Roughly $4200 at current rates.

ic. that's about the same as US. But it's odd how in the US, the rear kit (4 pot) is only $200 less than the front (6 pot)...

AP Racing are widely considered to be the best brakes in the world. Many race cars as well as high performance production cars use their brakes. Dare I say better then Brembo?! Better track brakes thats for sure. I believe thats why they are so expensive. Worth every penny.
