e46 body parts interchangable?

hey guys, a friend of mine just bought a 2002 325i and he asked if i knew if the body panels from a 330 or m3 would fit (i.e. fenders, hood). I dont know and you guys would be the ones to ask...

of the same model range yeah I would think so. Nothing changes too much within a series, except newer Ms now.

Coupe or Sedan?

Sedan received a face lift in '02, so hood and fenders would only match post-face lifted sedans.

I don't know when the coupe was received the face lift and what was changed.

M3 has different hood and fenders.

Ah yes, forgot about coupe/sedan. Those parts may differ from one another.

I'm fairly certain it was not a mid-year face lift, but the most distinctive element of post-face lift is the front corners. The post-face lift angled upward, pre-face lift angled down. The creases on the hood of the post-face lift went at 45 degree angle from front center to back corners, the pre-face lift angled back closer to the washers. Tail lights were changed too.

my old post-face lifted 330xi.
