Dodge Challenger

I am going to go out on a limb and say, I want a 6.1L challenger in my garage along with my 135i. It looks so aggressive, like a car you can man handle. (Flame suit on)

Is there any truth to reports of 20k over MSRP?

Probably. Damn Stealerships. Worst case of mark-up I've seen was a 2000 Mustang Cobra-R. MSRP was $50k, and the dealer marked it up to $98k.

I prefer the Challenger to the Camaro and Mustang. The Msrp for the V6 comes in at 21,000 bucks if I'm not mistaken.

No flames from me, I think the car looks fantastic and would love one to compliment the 135i.

I like it, but still think it needs a little something on the front end, maybe a small chrome strip or something. Just need to break up the bumper a little.

I love most cars and gas prices aren't high enough yet for me to place miles per gallon over smiles per mile, but the Challenger wouldn't be my first choice do to some build/engineering quality issues my family has had with Dodges in the past. I am not trying to say you shouldn't get one, but I will likely wait a year or two to see some reliability stats. That would be the same if I were waiting for a Camaro as well though, and I feel this way because of how hurting the big 3 are, they will be more likely to cut some corners to return to profitability. I would have felt the same way about a 135i if my family had gotten bad versions of their vehicle as well.

I had the pleasure of seeing/following one of these the other day. I must say those things are BEASTS! I wouldn't mind having one

I've seen a couple in person, and they look great on the road. My biggest issue with them is the parts bin interior. They just grabbed stuff from the 300 bin and grafted it in. That wouldn't be such a big deal, but the stuff in the bin SUCKED.

The next big issue is curb weight. 4100lbs! She's pretty sexy for a porker though.

It's a niche vehicle for sure. Jalopnik predicted the SRT600 to achieve 60 in low 4s. Hellvu a inefficient car for go fast and putting the power down. M3 with DCT can probably match performance with only 400 ponies.
