E36 M3 as Daily Driver?

I'm considering one as my daily. It can be found for around $7-8K but will need maintenance for sure (DIY most of it). Mileage isn't too bad and isn't overly powerful. Not sure about insurance tho, since it's an M car. What do you think?
Stop putting stuff like painted reflectors and premium package in your signature. You're embarrassing.

Daily driver vs. what?

That car is a lightly massaged, garden variety 3 series. The US version was closer to the non-M 3 series than any other generation of M3. In other words, it was never really intended to be anything other than a daily driver. Not unlike your e90 actually.

Just be sure that the potential problem areas aren't indeed problems and enjoy the ride.
