theoretically you are right ... the mpg should get worth, but i was driving last week and to my surprise i was still getting 14.7-15.5 mpg on the freeway ! not sure what to say, but in any case if you are looking to save on gas then this is not the right car for you. You can't have both fast car and great gas mileage !

4.10 Limited Slip Differential - Manual
Dinan lowers the stock 3.85 final drive ratio to a 4.10, taking full advantage of torque multiplication for a substantial 6.5% increase in torque delivered to the road. The improved acceleration comes with only a minor increase in engine speeds at cruise and no effective reduction in top speed potential. The Dinan 4.10 Limited Slip Differential delivers what is perhaps the greatest bang for the buck in terms of improved and more immediate acceleration from the M3.

Part # D773-0900
Labor Hours 4.7
Price $2699.00
Point Value 2
Special Notes Sold on an exchange basis; $1800 refundable core deposit.
Required Products BMW Synthetic Differential Fluid, part #83 22 2 282 583

How do you guys think this would work out with my stroker kit. Would it yield only more improvement? I think the answer is yes.

The more power you have the longer the gears you want>> If you where to put this in your stroker Your first and second gear would be useless>>

It would be good only if in addition of the gears , you also get the 3 disk carrier and variable ramps (30/90). DiffsOnline did mine w/ 3.62(dct) makes a difference like night and day how the diff locks. Also, wide tires like 305's in the rear since we'll be at 520+HP will help.

yeah, I agree ...+ wider tires are the big plus when you have 520hp under the hood ...

doba_s - once broken in I'm curious as to whether the DCT will have any traction issues on low gear changes at 10/10 and how this will affect the car in terms of DSC/DTC intervention and stability, given the 15% increase in torque to the wheels....

I'm guessing 1st gear also will be a bit hairy, I can imagine the car will break traction a lot more readily on full throttle from rolling/part throttle at low speeds...I'm just concerned if it will be at a point where it is annoying...

I will let you know ... but with 20" wheels we are looking for 10-11% increase ... With my 18" it will be 15%.
