heads up display?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if it was possible to install a heads up display like the ones in the e60 m5?

Edit: did a quick search and i realize BMW doesnt have it as an option, but my question is if i take it to a custom fabricator will it be possible?

I think it would cost a metric-ton of money, probebly just a waste of cash and you could do so much more for the car than the heads up display. A buddy had a Pontiac that had it and there was some special type of windsheild that has to be used in order to reflect the displayed image. Also a lens that the display is projected through on top of the dashboard facing the windshield. Then, is there a kit or something that takes the data and converts it to a projection to display the speed? I just don't think in a car it's worth it. It's not a jet fighter, but if done real well could be pretty cool I guess. Good luck.

Won't fit in the 3 series dash as it is to large. There is rumors that BMW is designing a smaller unit for the next 3 series & 1 series models?
