I dont think you should be too worried. Look at the NEW Nissan GTR that has a factory titanium system as well the Porsche 911 GT2.

If the ti welds would not hold up i dont think that the factory would offer it to customers as they would get a ton of warranty claims.

Plus I have several good friends that live in NJ and CT with M5 and M6 that has aftermarket Ti exhausts from Japan that has had no issues at all.

I say go for it. Just my $0.02

If this wouldn't be an issue people wouldn't be asking ... One thing when it is made by the factory and covered by the warranty ! I saw many aftermarket Ti systems cracked here and there because of the bad welding, so it is very important to make sure it won't crack. And I am sorry , but you can't compare quality of GT2s exhaust system to Vorsteiner.
