Oh no... Active you guys have created a MONSTER! Just out of curiosity thought, is the standard M3 6speed manual able to handle the power and torque emission of the kit?
Awesome stuff thought the S/C kit!

Wow thats crazy. The 6mt/dct shouldn't have a problem with this power unless its more then 575hp i would say that being closer to a DD limit. Alot of spin. Great work fellas.

Transmissions are rated by their torque capacity, not horsepower. Given the M3 only currently puts out 295 ft-lbs with 414hp, even if it puts out 600hp then thats 375 ft-lbs with max torque probably being 410 ft-lbs. I would bet that the both trannies could manage that. In comparison thats less ft-lbs than the MB C63 (442), Corvette (470), and current Audi RS6 (479). |

If the E9x transmission is built anything like the E46 transmission then it can handle everything you can throw at it. Look at all the E46 M3's that are running 600+hp and 400+tq to the wheels with HPF turbo kits, for example.
The Getrag transmissions are super strong. |

Love the blow off with the supercharger.
Is there a better pic of the FMIC? Who will win the race to release, ESS, Active, or VF? We will have lots of tuning options. Where are the people who said the M3 can't be tuned now? |
