CSL Replicas

what do you guys think of these wheels?
i like the way they look a lot
they look like the M3 that was first shown
i would get them in ET40 offset for the front with a 10mm spacer (1mm less than stock)
or ET20 without spacer (would that sick out too much?)

and ET22 for the rear (+ 1mm to stock)
they have them in gunmetal finish

price incl shipping is $850

They are great wheels - we've been selling them for close to 4 years now.

They've held up well, taken track abuse. One of the BMW Community's most successful wheel. Let me know if we can help you out with any questions in offsets or anything else you may need.

Those offsets are correct for the e9x M3, e46 will be slightly different.

We offer the CSLs in 4 different finishes (double the "competition") and are VMR's only stocking distributor. Give me a call if you have questions and I'll be happy to help.

et20 front should be fine. many people have 10mm spacers in the front on stock wheels.

These are solid wheels, I highly recommend them if you are looking for an affordable set for your car. We have been working with Velocity for the past 5 years and are thoroughly happy with the quality and construction of the wheels. Feel free to PM us or shoot us an email for a full quote with tires

i saw that pic, and i liked it a lot
especialy as my E92 is Melbourne red
looks great, but why the spacer in the back?
the ET22 is 1mm off the stock so why add the spacer?
you just wanted the wheels to stick out?
also i will get 18" cuz i want all season tires
don't like the pilot sport tires at all
i'm always cautious when i take a corner cuz they slip very easily
might be cuz its been below 40 degrees since i bought the car

i dont want the hassle of having to change winter wheels/tires and store them etc, don't have anywhere to store the winter setup
so will stick with all season

ET22 is still too recessed into the wide rear fenders, IMO...

IMHO - I think the V710s looks best on MR:

V710s are 19" only.

General UHPs are actually an all-season tire, even though TireRack seems to call them a Summer tire.

Yes, and if you take a before and after look at these rear wheels/spacer combo you will realize that 9.5" ET22/23 are not that good looking in that wide rear fender.

i'm not as concerned with looks as much as keeping everything as close to stock as possible
so i want the closest look to stock

i don't like messing with the setup BMW did with the car
when you start messing with measurements
i feel you start messing with all the testing and adjusting the engineers did and the things they did to perfect it
i might be wrong but i just feel that

Here's a 19x9.5 VMR wheel on the scale, coming in at just over 26.5lbs:

The 19x8.5" will be 0.5lb lighter. An important factor would be tire choice, which plays in overall wheel weight.

The 18's you are looking for weighed in - at 23.5lbs on the 18x8.5 and the 18x9.5 weight in at 25.3lbs.

Yup the V710's are only in 19's, I thought we were talking about CSL's here

You can get the rear of the M3 with a 18x9.5 to an ET15 fairly easily - I did some testing on the M3. The fronts an agressive front setup with an 8.5 can go up to an ET15. But in terms of a Drop with some coilovers, I would go with an 8.5 ET20 -ET25 fronts - I found that to be the optimal setting.

On a side note: To dispel some false claims - we are also a Velocity STOCKING distributor. Have been so for a long long time ago, long before any other vendors, even carried the line long before any sponsors I see on these boards. We've also been the Largest Distributors of the Velocity wheels. So if facts are needed go ahead and ask Velocity - but I will not have some saying false information to members. I think its great that there are many sponsors carrying their wheels giving you great options on who to pick from. If I can help out in anyway, from knowledge I will be happy to help. I've done a lot of testing on the wheels on the E92 M3. Thanks guys.

**OOOh yeah*** Right now is a great time to take advantage of our our Black Friday Deals going on right now - getting free shipping on these babies is a really nice incentive.
