CROSS coilovers pic's

After hours of looking at different suspension setup's Ron at Modbargins was able to help/locate me the Cross coilovers from JIC.

I really wanted to try the CROSS kit, Porsche guy's seem to have good results without losing too much from this kit. I had a couple of things that I really wanted a liner spring with different spring rate options was a must, dampening adjustable and camber plates needed to be included, KW V3's didn't have 2 of the 3 unless you went to the clubsports (cost much more) I wanted to stay away from double adjustable shocks, from previous experience(TCK) if you don't know how to adjust them properly you can really destroy the handling quick (they also make too much noise) and third I wanted a system that offered height adjustablity from the shock not the spring when you adjust the height by the spring you change the springs rate.

I came out of a track built M3 E46, too built in my opinion the suspension was noisy and rough, brakes noisy and when cold didn't stop the car. It was awsome on the track but I gave up every bit of the street ability it once had in favor of the track. So my E92 M won't be as hard core I would rather keep this one and drive it daily, track it on the weekend.

The pictures of the kit are attached I'm still waiting on a couple of parts before I can install, once installed I will show before and after pics and review.

Nice review, we just recently started carrying these for the BMW market and I am thoroughly impressed with their setup. They are well regarded in the porsche community so I see no reason why these won't be popular among the M3 folks.

Nice Preview ! Pleasure helping you and the extra items needed are on their way. We did go over some of the high end spectrum of coilovers. I really think these are going to be the coilovers for the track needs you requested. I went further and looked on my own at the KW race system (this is for race teams - the system runs close to $8k)

Anyway, I can't wait for you're full review and everyone else on m3post.

Longtran sorry but through all my research not very many kits available for cars with EDC at this time KW and Bilstien are the only ones I found. At this time I don't think CROSS has a kit with a code isolater but ask Ron.

Ron again thanks for all your help on Friday your quick reponse was comforting. Look forward to dealing with you in the future for other things. I will make sure to have a step by step install and review when complete. Now if only iforge would return my emails and let me know when my wheels will be finished.

You mentioned the double adjustable shocks were noisey, but aren't camber plates noisey and sacrafice ride too?

Not yet, Ron got some extra parts from JIC that are coming from Japan. Waiting for that to arrive then the install, the wait is killing me.

When I finally have everything to complete the install I'm going to try and do a step by step with pic's and review. I have already done a couple of track day's stock so I plan to review what it feels like after on the track as well as street.

Just waiting for parts......

I take it the cross kit also disables the EDC like the KW. Does it also include the boxes like the KW to cancel out the error codes?

I don't think the cross kit has EDC eliminators. My car does not have EDC.

Will the code isolator from KW (in case if they sell this thing separately) work with cross coilover? I'm still debating about going with KW or Cross, and my car has edc.

that's a good question, I'm not sure if the eliminator just isolates the code from occuring and has no direct connection to the KW coilovers it may work, that's if they would even sell you those parts only.
