Yup it's certainly an upgrade. That's been my only vehicle since '97. I'll still be keeping it for the winters.

Man, I'm really getting anxious to see this car in pictures. Sounds like this car is gonna be a really nice ride.

Compared to the tedious choices of the standard car, imo, it's worth every penny.

It wasn't too bad waiting since I was on vacation for two weeks in California and on a cruise to Mexico. But I am definitely ready to take delivery! I picked up my tags today from a title service agent called The Tag Man. Needless to say, he had several cars with personalized plates, including the "TAG MAN" and "8675309."

Why? On the e46 LSB on [whatever it was called] red was beautiful. Though I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All I know is that I'll be happy with it and that's all that counts since it would be my car.

Out of curiosity, what do you guys think would be the best interior for LSB?

He's going to be putting aftermarket rims on the car ( hopefully BBS or HRE hehe ) that's why he got the 18's.

I picked up the car yesterday. Here are a few quick pics. The folks at the Performance Center were terrific and the driving on the course (including the skid pad and M5 hot lap) was lots of fun. The factory tour was also very impressive. A few people specifically came looking for me just because they wanted to meet the owner of the LSB M3. So that was fun also. My car came with 3 miles on it. A few days before I used google maps to send directions to my car for my next destination (Concord, NC) and the message was in my car when I picked it up. So it was good trying out that feature right away. Oh yea, the car drives nice too.
