Looks good! The drop I'm looking for... keeping it civil while reducing that gap.
I've been leaning towards the Eibachs over the H&Rs for a couple of diff reasons and your drop confirms the look I'm looking for...but, if you don't mind, can you clarify something... you mentioned in your first post that the suspension felt softer in Comfort and not much different in others....coming from a Lexus... I def don't want to go to a softer suspension. I know you like the better turn in and the car feels planted at speed (but the car feels stable with stock also) .. can't the turn in response also be achieved with adjustments to camber, toe-in/out, etc. on stock springs? ... just want to make sure I'm not softening up the suspensions with Eibach because of your first comment. Thanks!

I'm worried about that too, also worried about how messed up the rebound will be with the shocks being compressed more and not being at optimal position.

I think that a better word should have been compliant instead of "softer", as in less impact harshness from the same road bumps (there are some speed bumps and rairoad tracks close to my driving routes that don't feel as harsh as before the spring install), but it is still an "M3 ride" and not a sudden Lexus ride, if you get my drift.
It is still a very sharp handler, and I have not aligned it yet. This was the same effect -and the reason to get Eibachs again- as when I installed a Pro Kit to my old E46 M3. The ride became more compliant in regular driving but at the same time more controlled and stable at hard turns: ![]() Quote:

Thanks! That makes more sense. I have Eibachs on my Lexus IS now and I agree about the effect. With the old springs, the car seemed to roll quiet a bit. I think Eibach builds their springs progressive (non-linear???) with a bit of softness on the first fraction of compression and quickly stiffens IMO for spirited driving. Ed.

Are they all season? How do you like em compared to your OEM stock Pilot Sports PS2? How does your set up drive over stock? Any complaints with the Eilbachs either? I am thinking on doing the same tire set up and going Eilbach springs as well but I have a coupe. Thanks

My car came with the 18" Pilots so a comparison with the 19" UHPs is not going to be too objective or fair. What I know is that the UHP are excellent tires for the price, they stick and handle like they cost two times as much, are not noisy at all and they last some 30,000+ miles easily. Currently I have them installed in this M3, and in a Passat B6, and before that in a MKV GTI and in an E46 M3. The same with the Eibachs... that's the only aftermarket spring that I install in my cars ('87 323, '90 Protegé, '93 318i, '96 Z3, '98 323iC, '04 M3, '07 GTI). They just work like OEM but lower and sharper. No issues with busted shocks at all, never, nada... that '93 318i rode them over 60,000 miles and still they were tight. |

Well, simple way is to jack one side, support on a stand, then jack the other and do the same. Hope you don't work under the car without stands. Any way, result is very nice. I may have to look into this mod. Maybe I missed it, did you say where you got the kit from?

The CSL replicas are gone... OEM ZHP rears in all four corners are in, and the car settled a little bit more since this thread was created (sorry for the photos quality, I had to resize the images):

thanks for the reply Technic, I think I might also go with the eibach springs since where I live the roads aren't very good and the H&R would drop to much the car
