Has anyone tried the Active Autowerke E9X short shifter for the E90 M3??

The throw is simply a dream and pieced with the knob combo, its so nice to play with the gears. If you haven't already got the kit i recommend you do so cos its simply sensational to drive.

I was thinking abt doing the same shift knob. I'm wondering how low this knob will sit. If you could post some pics I would definately love to see it.

Bud, not sure if you can see how low the knob is from the aerial shot but the knob only stick out 1inch above the insert trimming. Has an arcade game simulation game feel. hehe... No regrets.

yup they sure did the custom engrave for me on my Gear knob. Stubby lil bastard huh. hehe

Do let us know what you decide on. There are loads of custom knobs that Doug from Whalen Shift Machine can do for you.
